Who am I? What am I doing in Maputo, what’s the reason for this Blog and why did I call it Pusteblume?
…to be completed.
My name is Britta, I’m from Karlsruhe, Germany.
I am joyful and calm, talkative and silent, interested and persuaded, bright and grey, thoughtful and impulsive, creative and documental, observant and imaginative – I am myself, day by day, created, invented and formed by the world, you and me.
I write this blog to share my expereinces in Maputo with everyone, to talk about things I consider tellable, to share impressions as well as art with my photography. From August 2014 I’ll start a 364 days voluntary service in Maputo, more precisely in the ICMA, the German – Mozambiquan Cultural Center. My stay there is mainly onrganised by Welthaus Bielefeld, a developmental association standing up for global social justice and sustainable development. The responsible is weltwärts “the (german) developmental voluntary service”.
Separated in different headings, you’ll find actual posts, reports and essays in german and english- words about general and actual issues, mainly in the cultural and artistic area as well as my personal stories and experiences I live through during this year. A second big part is photography. I hope you might recover something in the emotions and impressions my pictures show. I permanentely will be looking for streetart in any form to share with you.
Anyhow, feel free to comb through my blog, I hope you’ll enjoy. Don’t hesitate to contact me or to comment on contents!
